M-S Motor (X25.xxx)
The Miniature Stepper Motor X25.xxx was primarily developed as an indicator drive for dashboard instrumentation and other indicator equipment. The X25.xxx can operate directly from a digital driving signal to move and position a pointer to visualize any parameter required. Its inherent properties of torque, low current consumption, small size, light weight, etc... extend its use also to other applications. |

The motor principle is based on a three poles synchronous motor designed and patented for a bidirectional watch stepper motor. Its simple structure with few components and its efficiency allowed a highly reliable and cost effective design. The miniature stepper motor consists of a motor and gear train with a reduction ratio of 1/180.

M-S Driver
M-S Dual Driver (X12.014)M-S Quad Driver (X12.017)Two/Four motors can be driven with these Driver IC's. This IC is a monolithic CMOS devices intended to be used as an interface circuit to ease the use of the Miniature Stepper Motor M-S X25.xxx. This Driver IC has been specifically designed for applications in the car dashboard. The driver circuit converts a pulse train f(scx) into a current level sequence sent to the motor coils. This sequence is used to produce the microstepping movement of the motor. A microstep corresponds to an angular rotation of 1/12°. of the pointer. The microstepping allows for smooth and appealing movement of a pointer. |
